Located at the iconic Maryborough station complex we offer a vintage style Cafe and Wine Bar, Fine Dining Restaurant and Art Gallery.

With a vintage industrial feel Railway Café seats around 60 and caters for casual dining. The magnificent open fire adds warmth on those wintery days creating a homely atmosphere. This room has an impressive ornate wooden ceiling and massive sky lighting. Boasting a variety of Chefs wholesome meals as well as serving Jane Dough cakes made on the premises, all with the freshest quality ingredients - the Railway Café is an ideal venue to bring your visitors.

Tracks Restaurant is the ideal venue for your intimate dining experience or group dinner. Set in the ‘Great Hall’ below sky-high ceilings and surrounded by original fixtures the restaurant boasts modern Australian cuisine including only the best and freshest meals. The restaurant incorporates a formal and modern feel set amongst the Art Gallery.  The restaurant seats around 30 with crisp laundered table linen.  Larger bookings can be catered for and this venue is ideal for your special events like Weddings and Christmas parties.  

The original station doors open from the Great Hall out onto a lush plant lined courtyard on the platform.  Perfect for alfresco dining on those beautiful Spring, Summer and Autumn days.   This courtyard area is perfect for our magnificent high tea’s. 


Tracks Bar stocks a variety of wines from the surrounding local district and also offers an original cocktail menu sure to excite your taste buds. A variety of ciders, boutique and regular beers are also on offer. Modern freshly made bar snacks are also available.

The perfect venue for your next private event. Christmas parties, weddings, engagements, birthdays, high teas & conferences are all areas of expertise.

Railway Hotel Dunolly

The Railway Hotel began life as the Criterion Hotel in 1858, a modest building as shown in the 1861 photo. Ernst Ernstein rebuilt the Criterion to the current building in 1863.

In 1874, when the Dunolly – St Arnaud Railway line began Francis Fearn, who then owned the hotel, changed the name to Railway Hotel.

After undergoing extensive restoration The Railway Hotel has recently re-opened.
The bar is open everyday from Noon till close.
The kitchen is open Thursday to Saturday for lunch and dinner and then for Sunday roast lunch.
